The Seven Trumpets
The Seven Trumpets are seven judgments that come directly from Heaven and they are very severe and the purpose is to bring wrath on the ungodly people.
1. The first trumpet: Hail, fire, and blood (Revelation 8:7)
When the first angel sound his trumpet, ice and fire will rain from the sky. This will burn up a third of all the Earth's trees and all of its grass. In addition there will be blood with the hail.
2. The second trumpet: A mountain burning with fire (Revelation 8:8-9)
When the second trumpet is blown, there will be something like a huge mountain burning with fire and will be thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea will become blood. A third of the sea creatures will die and a third of the ships on the sea will be destroyed.
3. The third trumpet: A star called Wormwood (Revelation 8:10-11)
When the third trumpet sounds a great star, blazing like a torch will crash to Earth on the rivers and springs of water. This time a third of the waters will turn "bitter" and poisonous. This will cause many people to die.
4. The fourth trumpet: Darkness (Revelation 8:12)
When the fourth angel sounds this trumpet a third of the sun, moon and stars become dark. As a result a third of the day will be without light and a third of the night will be without the light of the moon and stars.
5. The fifth trumpet: The locusts from the Abyss (Revelation 9:1-11)
The fifth trumpet will also be the first of three "woes". There will be a loud voice proclaiming three trumpets of woe. This time when the trumpet sounds an angel will unlock the Abyss and smoke will come out of it. Also "locusts" will come out of the Abyss and will torture the wicked doers and unbelievers for five months with scorpion-like power to sting.
6. The sixth trumpet: The four angels released (Revelation 9:13-19)
When this trumpet is blown, the second "woe" is unleashed. This time the four angels who had been bound at the Euphrates river will be released and will kill a third of mankind through the plagues of fire and smoke and brimstone; by an army of 200 million that are lead by these angels.
7. The seventh trumpet: Loud voices in Heaven (Revelation 11:15-19)
When the seventh angel sounded the trumpet there were great and loud voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign for ever and ever. Then the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces and worshipped God and the nations were angry for God's wrath has come. And the temple of God was opened in Heaven and in His temple was seen the ark of His testament; and there were lightnings, and voices, and thundering, and an earthquake and great hail. This trumpet introduces the next series of divine judgements.
